Care with Compassion, Life with Dignity.

Our Mission

At Care Connect NoVA, we believe that everyone deserves to live a rewarding, engaging life, regardless of where they call home. Founded to empower seniors and those needing extra support, we provide inclusive and personalized care rooted in compassion, patience, and empathy. Our mission is to bridge the gap between safety and independence—giving families peace of mind while ensuring their loved ones live with the dignity, contentment, and confidence they deserve.

Meet The Founder

Meet Lisa

A Heart for Service, A Lifetime of Care

Lisa’s path was paved by personal experience. For over 15 years, she navigated the complexities of aging while caring for her father and aunt. Those years of family caregiving didn’t just teach her the logistics of elder care—they sparked a lifelong mission to treat every senior with the dignity and compassion they deserve.

Experience You Can Trust

Since 1992, Lisa has been a fixture in the senior care world. From managing procurement in skilled nursing to serving as a Client Care Director in Northern Virginia, she has seen every side of the industry. In 2022, she channeled that expertise into co-founding Care Connect NoVa with her wife, Sheri, to provide the flexible, concierge-level support she knew families were missing.

Advocate and Community Leader

Lisa’s heart for service reaches far beyond the office. She is a proud board member of the Loudoun Senior Network and a volunteer for the Upending Parkinson’s climbing program. Whether she’s advocating for local seniors or climbing alongside them, Lisa believes in staying active, connected, and involved.

At Home in Purcellville

Living in Purcellville with Sheri and their "small zoo" of two dogs and four cats, Lisa finds joy in her garden and dreams of adventures in Costa Rica. Though her family is spread from California to Ohio, the time she spends with her granddaughter is what she cherishes most.

For Lisa, Care Connect NoVa isn't just a business—it’s her way of ensuring your family’s aging journey is met with a steady hand and a kind heart.

Meet the Team

  • Nicole Solis

Known for saving dogs and adoring my 'senior besties,' I balance my IT career with my true passion: connecting with our seasoned neighbors. From advanced Alzheimer’s support to simple errands, I love being the fresh, reliable face that lets family caregivers finally relax. Rest those shoulders—I’m here to help!

  • Kaleen Harrison

With a background in senior fitness—including teaching Silver Sneakers and personal training—I have dedicated my career to keeping older adults active and smiling. I joined Care Connect to focus on what I love most: hearing your stories and learning from your wisdom. When I’m not kayaking, cross-stitching, or teaching indoor cycling, I’m busy keeping up with my twin boys (ask me about the shock of finding out there were two of them!).

  • Jess Harper

With over a year at Care Connect NoVa, I view every visit as a chance to replace isolation with tangible joy. I specialize in working with memory loss, where I’ve learned that a little patience goes a long way—turning anxious moments into greetings with open arms! Whether we are heading out for a lunch drive, sharing music and recipes, or just having a laugh, I’m here to bring a sense of safety and companionship. (Off the clock, I’m usually guilty of staying up past my bedtime binge-watching a good Netflix series!)

  • BJ DeWeerd

Meet BJ: Companion & Story-Catcher | 1 Year with Care Connect NoVa

Inspired by caring for her own father after his diagnosis, BJ brings deep empathy and a "can-do" spirit to every visit. Her favorite part? The history lessons — she loves watching a client's face light up while sharing stories from their past.

BJ is all about getting out and living life — lunch dates, scenic drives, home projects, you name it. She's even earned the title of "Chief Assembler" for tackling everything from patio furniture to Amazon deliveries.

Her most cherished moment? Being welcomed as family at a client's intimate 80th birthday dinner.

Fun fact: BJ plays piano, is a proud lefty, and can write backwards.

  • Kathleen Klavon

Kathleen Compassionate Creative | 2.5 Years with Care Connect NoVa

A self-described free spirit, Kathleen found her calling in service to others. With a background in social services and the medical field — plus certification as a 200-hour yoga and meditation teacher — she brings a rare blend of capability and calm to every visit. Her superpower? Active listening. Every client leaves feeling truly seen and heard.

Creativity is Kathleen's love language. Watercolor painting, clay sculpting, cooking, hiking — she meets clients wherever they are and finds ways to spark joy along the way.

Her most memorable moment? Watching a 90-year-old client vividly reenact a Swiss ski trip — poles and all — right in the living room.

Fun fact: Don't let the Zen vibe fool you — she's a full-on Sci-Fi nerd. Star Trek, Marvel, all of it. Boy mom to three sons and proud of it. 🖖

  • Karen Natoli

DescriptMeet Karen The Dedicated Pro (1 Year with Care Connect NoVa)

With over 15 years of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Karen brings a wealth of knowledge and a steady, reassuring presence to every visit. She isn't just there to help; she is there to learn. Her favorite part of the day is sitting down to listen to a client’s life history, soaking up the wisdom and stories they have to share.

Karen is known for building deep, lasting connections. Before joining our team, she spent over a decade caring for two live-in clients (one for 6 years, another for 4.5 years), proving that she treats her clients like true family. When she isn't encouraging clients to get out and enjoy the day, she is likely showing them photos of her two beloved Corgis.

Her "Why": The stories. She believes every senior is a history book waiting to be opened, and she loves learning from their experiences.

Fun Fact: Karen is a massive music lover and concert-goer! She listens to all genres, so she is always ready to discuss your favorite bands or play some tunes during a visit.ion goes here

  • Jennifer Dunn

Here are two bio options for Jennifer, highlighting her background in care, her loyalty, and her calming presence during big life transitions.

Option 1: The Narrative Bio (Website Standard)

Meet Jennifer The Steady Hand (2 Years with Care Connect NoVa)

After a dedicated 20-year career as a dental assistant at the same practice, Jennifer decided to pivot her career to focus on what she loves most: making a personal difference in people's lives. A proud Ashburn local and mom of two girls (one at UVA, one in middle school), she brings incredible patience, stability, and kindness to every visit.

Jennifer has a special gift for supporting families during difficult life transitions. Whether helping a client move into Assisted Living or providing support during Hospice care, she is the calm, compassionate presence families rely on. When she isn't offering a listening ear, you can find her taking clients for walks, playing cards, or enjoying a good conversation over coffee.

Her "Why": She loves hearing about her clients' career journeys and unique life experiences, always treating them with the respect and dignity they deserve.

Fun Fact: She is a bit of a celebrity super-fan! She and her daughter once met Oprah Winfrey, and Jennifer almost fainted from the excitement!
